Recently my skin has been awful with a capital A. It’s been so dry and dehydrated and I have been desperate to fix it so I’ve been hunting for things that might work.
Bioderma Hydrabio Gel-Creme (£14)
I came across this moisturiser in a little independent pharmacy in my local town and the things it says on the tube sounded promising so I bought it. Bioderma is a brand that I have never used before but I have heard a lot of good things about their micellar waters so I thought it would be worth giving a go. The moisturisers I’ve used in the past have always been a bit meh, they were never quite right and most of them either broke me out or left my skin feeling soft but tight which I HATE! Although the moisturiser says it is for normal to combination skin, it is so so hydrating and makes my skin feel really soft, smooth and best of all, no dry patches! I also love that the tube has a pump on it, not just a squeezy tube.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (£6)
I have never used a serum before but I heard saw Fleur De Force talk about this brand and how it works (you can watch her video here) and I thought it sounded like what my skin might need so I gave it a go. Let me tell you, I love this stuff. Although the combination of this and the moisturiser above are what has helped my skin I reckon most of it is down to this, and it’s so affordable! It feels like I’m giving my skin a long drink when I put this on and you only need a tiny amount too! Seriously love!!

I thought I’d run you through the products I use to have a pamper night because having time to yourself to relax is really important especially if you’re feeling low after the festive season is over.
The first thing I like to do is have a bath because they are just the ULTIMATE relax, physically (so nice fore aching muscles) and mentally to just block everything out, Personally I like to watch a bit of YouTube in the bath or read a book.
In the Bath
Lush Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb
Zoella Sugar Dip and Pretty Polished
Out of the bath
Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion; Simple Moisturising Facial Wash; Nivea Makeup Remover; Pixi Glow Tonic; The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Lotion
Another little treat you can add for extra pamper is some chocolate (I definitely did!)
Hope you enjoyed reading! I’m hoping to have a few more blog posts up soon and a pretty exciting on mid-February if all goes to plan!!

I find it very satisfying to completely use up a product whether its makeup or skincare. It could be the excitement of knowing I’ll have to go out and buy another one if I loved it or I’ll get to try something else if I didn’t. Here is a few things I’ve used up recently.
Nivea Daily Essential Double Effect Eye Makeup Remove
This is the best eye makeup remover I have ever used (big claim, I know) it gets of every bit of eye makeup even the longest staying eyeliners and the toughest waterproof mascaras
The Body Shop Vitamin E SPF15 Moisture Lotion
I have used this moisturiser for about 3 years now and I love it, I have sensitive skin which gets really dehydrated and dry in the winter and is dry/normal in the summer and this works really well. It makes my skin feel soft and smooth!
Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer
This concealer is so good. It has great coverage and as the name would suggest it is also illuminating. I can get away with using this on blemishes as well as under my eyes but if you go for more of a matte skin look then this might not be your cup of tea as it is quite glowy
L’Occitane Light Comforting Cream
This is a really nice product which is really hydrating for my skin type but unfortunately it broke me out really badly. I won’t buy this again but if you have dry but insensitive skin then this might work for you.
L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Gentle Makeup Remover
This product is great if you don’t wear waterproof mascara. As it says it is gentle so it feel really nice and refreshing on your eyes but isn’t very powerful if you have layers and layers of eye makeup to remove (if that’s the case go for the Nivea one mentioned above!) but it does smell really nice and leaves your eye area feeling really soft and smooth.
Hope you enjoyed reading and maybe this gave you some ideas for products to try out.

I love beauty and pampering and I also think its really important to look after your skin in general, not to mention trying loads of products is really fun and exciting!
I start my skincare routine by removing my make – up using the Garnier Micellar Water. This product is nice because it is light and does get all of my make – up off however I know that using just a Micellar Water isn’t enough to properly cleanse my skin and soon I would like to get my hands on a cream or a balm cleanser to properly cleanse.
Next I tone with the Clarins Toning Lotion ( atm I use a sample size ) and I really like this because it leaves my face feeling really fresh and clean, it also helps get rid of breakouts and spots which is always a bonus.
After toning I moisturise using The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Lotion SPF 15 , which says it is a moisturiser for all skin types but I would say it is more for normal to dry skin because I feel it could be a bit to oily for someone with oily skin.
Finally I use the No.7 Youthful Eye Cream. This product is really cooling under my eyes and makes my under eye area feel so soft. It also helps my concealer not to crease because it smooths out the skin.
Do you have any skincare items you think I should check out? Thanks for reading
